Pit-Stop Mobile SMART Repair – Terms & Conditions.                                       (Last updated 03/2026)

 

By booking work with Pit-Stop Mobile SMART Repair, you agree to the following:

 

1. Scope of Work

Repairs are based on photos provided or visual inspection at the time of quoting.

  • Quotes cover only the visible damage discussed

  • Any additional damage found during repair will be discussed before proceeding

  • Work is limited to small-to-medium SMART repairs only

We do not carry out:

  • Large or multi-panel repairs

  • Full resprays (bonnets, roofs, etc.)

  • Rust repairs or structural damage

 

2. Nature of SMART Repairs

All repairs are carried out mobile and outdoors, not in a spray booth.

  • Finishes are designed to be tidy, well-blended and discreet

  • Repairs are not factory-level resprays

  • Minor imperfections may be visible on close inspection

By proceeding, you accept the nature and limitations of a mobile SMART repair.

 

3. Customer Approval

On completion:

  • The repair will be shown and explained where possible

  • Payment confirms acceptance of the work

If you are not present at completion, acceptance is assumed once:

  • The work is completed

  • Photos have been provided (if applicable)

  • An invoice has been issued

We do not accept claims for:

  • Minor cosmetic concerns raised after completion

  • Issues that were visible at the time of handover

 

4. Working Conditions

You must provide:

  • Safe off-road parking

  • Access to a standard 240V power supply

  • Suitable working space around the vehicle

We reserve the right to:

  • Reschedule due to weather or lighting

  • Refuse or stop work if conditions are unsuitable

 

5. Warranty

Repairs are guaranteed for 12 months against:

  • Paint failure caused by poor preparation or application

This does NOT cover:

  • Stone chips, new damage, or impact

  • Poor aftercare (washing, chemicals, pressure washing)

  • Environmental factors (weather, contamination, etc.)

  • Previous poor repairs or unknown paintwork

No mobile repair can guarantee a permanent finish under all conditions.

 

6. Aftercare

  • Do not wash or polish the repair for 7 days

  • Avoid pressure washing or harsh chemicals on the repaired area

 

7. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due on completion of the repair

If you are not present at completion:

  • An invoice will be issued

  • Payment is expected within 7 days

If payment is not received:

  • A reminder will be sent after 7 days

  • Further contact will be made after 14 days

Failure to settle the invoice may result in:

  • Escalation to formal debt recovery

  • Additional costs being added to recover the outstanding balance

We accept:

  • Cash

  • Card

  • Bank transfer

Pit-Stop reserves the right to request full payment in advance where appropriate.

 

8. Third-Party Repairs

Where someone else is paying for the repair:

  • Full payment must be made in advance of the booking

 

9. Cancellations / Changes

  • Repeated cancellations or rescheduling may result in the quote being withdrawn

  • Quotes may become invalid if delayed significantly

 

10. Liability

We are not responsible for:

  • Pre-existing damage or hidden issues

  • Variations in colour match due to age or paint condition

  • Environmental factors affecting the finish

All work is carried out outdoors, and while every effort is made to achieve a high-quality finish, minor imperfections may occur and are not considered defects.

 

11. Photography

Photos of your vehicle may be taken before and after repair for:

  • Record keeping

  • Marketing purposes

No personal or identifying information will be shared.
